Welcome To Gold Trail Distributed Learning

Gold Trail Distributed Learning 
is a public Distributed Learning School in School District 74 (Gold Trail) serving students in our communities and the province of British Columbia.  We are located in the sunny South Cariboo and enjoy the beauty of arid deserts, soaring mountains peaks, agricultural range lands and the Fraser andview from Cornwall Thompson Rivers. Our boundaries include the communities of Ashcroft, Cache Creek, Clinton, Lytton, Lillooet, Shalalth and Goldbridge. We welcome you to drop in for a visit anytime you are passing through this area.

We offer full programs for elementary, secondary, and adult students. Our programs are taught using a multitude of teaching styles, methods and technology. Our teachers value the individuality of all students. They are committed to providing a caring community that fosters respect, integrity, and personal achievement in open and innovative learning environments.

We are committed to providing quality Online Learning programs and courses and looking forward to serving your Distributed Learning needs.

Gold Trail Distributed Learning Programs:
  • follow the Ministry of Education curriculum and standards
  • ensure that a member of the BC College of Teachers supervises each student's educational program
  • ensure that all education programs meet the Required Areas of Study for Primary and Intermediate students and the Graduation Requirements for Graduation Program students
  • allow students to supplement their existing school courses
  • allow students to work from home
  • focus on the needs of the learner
  • ensure that parents and teachers work as an educational team
  • meets Ministry of Education guidelines for learning resources
  • include regularly scheduled assessments, reports on student progress, and complete student record cards
